These 8 1/2" x 11" Interval Puzzles are laminated puzzles that can be used to teach intervals, scales, chords, inversions, and other creative music theory exercises!
The Beginner Interval Puzzle includes two 8.5" x 11" laminated puzzles—one for Melodic Intervals and one for Harmonic Intervals. Each puzzle uses velcro note names that can be moved around to build different interval combinations, helping students learn both melodic and harmonic intervals in a fun, hands-on way.
Melodic Interval Puzzle:
Includes 9 notes total:
– Middle C
– Treble Clef notes: D, E, F, G
– Bass Clef notes: B, A, G, F
With these, students can form 2nds, 3rds, 4ths, and 5ths as melodic intervals.
Harmonic Interval Puzzle:
Includes 12 notes total:
– Four Middle C's
– Treble Clef notes: D, E, F, G
– Bass Clef notes: B, A, G, F
These allow students to build 2nds, 3rds, 4ths, and 5ths as harmonic intervals.
The Intermediate Interval Puzzle is a magnetic puzzle with dots on every line and space—extending up, down, and diagonally in both directions. It comes with 8 magnetic notes that can be placed on the dots to explore intervals and more.
To use:
– Place two magnets on different dots.
– Use dots that go up to the right for melodic intervals going up.
– Use dots that go down to the left for melodic intervals going down.
– Use straight up and down dots for harmonic intervals.
