Other fun ways to use the Mini-Vivace tools include:

1. Symbol Sandwiches

Have players build 'sandwiches' of Picture + Name + Definition. Can also be a timed race or a team challenge

2. Go Fish

Using two decks, deal 5 cards to each player, players take turns asking if they have a matching card. If not, 'Go Fish'

3. Beat the Timer

Start a timer. Have one student at a time name (or define) all of the musical symbols as quickly as they can. Then see if they can do it again and beat their previous time or have another player do it and see if they can beat the time.

4.Memory Match

Shuffle and place cards face down. Players take turns flipping 2 cards and trying to match the symbol to the name, or symbol to definition, etc. The player with most matches wins.

5. Flash Cards

Holding up the symbol card ask students to offer the correct name and/or definition for the symbol.
