Materials Included:
3 Decks of 24 cards each:
- Category Cards- naming the category of each term
- Term Cards- showing the names of each term
- Definition Cards- showing the meanings or definitions of the terms
How to Play:
-
The Caller randomly chooses a card from a different deck (one that is not laid out).
- Example: If Category Cards are on the table, the Caller may draw from the Term or Definition deck.
- The Caller reads only what’s on the card aloud.
-
If the Caller says “Vivace” before the clue, players can race to grab the matching card from the table.
- Example: “Vivace: Accelerando” and then players try to grab the card that says “Gradually speed up”.
- The first player to grab the correct card places it in a personal pile near them.
-
If the Caller does NOT say “Vivace,” players must not touch any cards.
- Grabbing a card without hearing “Vivace” means you have to put the card back.
- Play continues until all cards have been collected!
Winning the Game:
- The game ends when all Caller cards have been used or when a set time/round limit is reached.
- Each player counts the number of cards in their personal pile.
- The player with the most cards collected wins!
